Harpazo — the catching away
"For the Lord himself shall descend from heaven with a shout, with the voice of the archangel, and with the trump of God: and the dead in Christ shall rise first: Then we which are alive and remain shall be caught up together with them in the clouds, to meet the Lord in the air."
The word rapture comes from the Latin rapio, translating the Greek harpazo — to seize, snatch away, or plunder. It is God plundering the earth by taking His greatest treasure out before judgment falls.
Before every major judgment, God removes His faithful. Not protecting them through it — removing them before it. The rapture is not a strange, isolated promise. It is the final instance of a pattern woven through all of Scripture.
"Enoch walked with God: and he was not; for God took him." The world drowned, but Enoch was taken first.
Genesis 5:24 (KJV)"Come thou and all thy house into the ark… Yet seven days, and I will cause it to rain." Noah was sealed in before the flood came.
Genesis 7:1,4 (KJV)"The men put forth their hand, and pulled Lot into the house to them, and shut to the door." Sealed in for safety before judgment fell.
Genesis 19:10 (KJV)"There appeared a chariot of fire… and Elijah went up by a whirlwind into heaven." Taken just before judgment fell on Israel's kings.
2 Kings 2:11 (KJV)"By faith the harlot Rahab perished not with them that believed not." The scarlet thread marked her household for deliverance before the walls fell.

God's appointed times — His moedim — were never random. They form a prophetic timeline. The spring feasts were fulfilled to the exact day at Christ's first coming. The fall feasts await fulfillment. The rapture sits between them.
The feasts reveal the season. But does the calendar confirm the year? Multiple independent streams of data converge on the same window.
This is not date-setting. These are independent data streams — from astronomy, Scripture, and history — that intersect around the same prophetic window. Like a celestial algorithm, each source confirms the others. The day belongs to the Father. The season is ours to discern.

The pre-trib view holds that the Church is caught up before the seven-year tribulation begins. Six pillars of evidence support this position — from Scripture, from the feasts, and from the consistent pattern of God's character.
"For God hath not appointed us to wrath, but to obtain salvation by our Lord Jesus Christ." The tribulation is a time of wrath (Revelation 6:16-17). The Church is not appointed to that period.
1 Thessalonians 5:9 (KJV)"I also will keep thee from the hour of temptation, which shall come upon all the world." The promise is removal from the hour, not protection through it.
Revelation 3:10 (KJV)Enoch before the flood. Noah sealed in before the deluge. Lot before Sodom. Elijah before judgment. Rahab before Jericho. The biblical pattern is deliverance before judgment.

The Bible records multiple raptures for different groups at different times. These are not competing views of the same event — they are distinct events for distinct people. Pre-trib, mid-trib, and post-trib are all biblically valid when assigned to the right group.

Romans 10:9 (KJV)Salvation is not about being good enough, going to church, or saying religious words. It is about placing your full trust in Jesus Christ alone — believing He died for your sins and rose again, and confessing Him as your Lord.
If you read these words after the rapture has taken place, do not lose hope. Salvation is still available during the tribulation — but it will cost you everything. Millions will reject the mark of the beast and give their lives for their faith (Revelation 20:4 KJV). The two witnesses will preach in Jerusalem (Revelation 11:3 KJV). The 144,000 Jewish evangelists will proclaim the gospel to every nation (Revelation 7:2-8 KJV).
"And I said unto him, Sir, thou knowest. And he said to me, These are they which came out of great tribulation, and have washed their robes, and made them white in the blood of the Lamb."
